This page is for the latest news and it is not our focus as an organisation, we seek to provide in depth analysis and understanding of topics with historical, political, philosophical and economic context not the newest event with no further information.

This means that we do not focus on being the first to report something for live updates we would suggest other renowned journalistic sites such as the BBC, Al Jazeera or the New York Times then when all the facts are laid out we will explain them and what they mean in depth.

This is because, it is often not beneficial to have a stream of events with no understanding of the complexity or provenance of them as this can create panic and chaos, noise without meaning. This type of reporting also has the potential for spreading falsehoods. In stead we believe in reliable reporting providing an in depth, complex understanding.

We are a UK based site so whilst we aim to have at least 50% international coverage you may see a slight over representation of UK, European and Western coverage.

We seek to update this page with new posts every morning at around 9am BST although there may be periodic exemptions to this rule.
